Nate Burie - The Burie Family

Nate started visiting the Sorensen booth at IBMA in 2012.  He persistently dragged his parents from booth to booth as he tried each mandolin at the show.  The next year, he did the same thing.  Towards the end of the week, his father came by to tell me, "Nathaniel says these are the best mandolins he has played.  We would like to talk with you about building an instrument for him."  Over the next year, Nate and I collaborated on the details of the build.  His custom Narnia-themed Pacifica mandolin, Lucy, was delivered to him at IBMA 2014.
